Beginning September 2025, all Springfield Public Schools (SPS) students must have their electronic devices off and away from bell to bell, including during passing periods and lunch.

In Springfield Public Schools (SPS), nutrition services staff at Ridgeview Elementary and Walterville Elementary served delicious multi-colored carrots and apples to all students during lunch, as part of Oregon's Crunch at Once event, celebrated on Thursday, October 23.

The Oregon Department of Education released statewide assessment results for the 24–25 school year, and SPS is seeing encouraging growth across subjects.
