Meet Maple Staff Members: Sue Gardner
Today I am pleased to introduce Ms. Sue Gardner. Ms. Gardner is new to Maple this year and comes to us with 52 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Ms. Gardner says: "I enjoy working with speech and language in the schools because I like to be where students are learning. It's fun to help children learn and see them get excited about their accomplishments.
I have lived in Eugene since 2010. Before that I moved around a lot.....I have lived in 10 states. (I like Oregon the best!). I was born in Ohio.
My hobbies are sewing and machine embroidery. I like to make clothes and just about anything made from cloth. Machine embroidery is a special interest of mine. The possibilities are endless....even 3D objects!
I live with my husband, Bruce, who works for the Archeological Legacy Society. We enjoy movies about time travel, mysteries, comedies, love stories and documentaries.
My favorite dessert is anything Chocolate!..but it must be gluten free!!! My favorite restaurant is Pastini's. Yes, you guessed it, I love Italian food.
This is my first year at Maple Elementary. It is a great place to work! Everyone is kind and helpful and has a positive "can do" attitude. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year at Maple!!"
We are so lucky to have someone with such a wealth of experience to help our students. Thank you. Ms. Gardner! We look forward to a wonderful year with you, as well.
